Great plans for 2009 - join us and get involved
MWH 2009 Launch Party – 1/26/09
Men with Heart is having a party on Monday, Jan 26 at 6:30 at Todd English’s Kingfish Hall in Faneuil Hall, Boston. Please join us for great food, wonderful company, and the debut of MWH’s new brochure & web site. This party is not about fundraising, silent auctions or even a raffle… it’s just going to be a fun party bringing together friends and teammates.
We encourage you to invite your families and friends who have supported your MWH efforts in the past.
Walking Plans for 2009
We’ve got big plans for 2009, starting with our two main walks: Avon 2-Day in May and Komen 3-Day in July. Visit the dedicated Men with Heart Avon & Komen team pages for all the details of the walks. In late 2009 we will be hosting the 3rd Annual Birch/Cotter Breast Cancer Regatta. We’ll also be actively supporting like-minded organizations, recruiting new members, giving out a few grants, and participating in several other breast cancer events. Check out our events page for more details, and revisit our site soon for additional information and updates.

I wanted to thank the Men With Heart for their support of the 2008 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
I was a walker and the support you guys gave us was amazing. The words of encouragement, the high fives, and the welcoming smiles and tears at the end of the walk meant so much I can’t even put it into words. Thank you all!
Love, Sally

Want to thank everyone for providing me a great time this weekend. It was VERY emotional for me. The closing ceremony was amazing. Especially cheering all the walkers in and us walking in at the end. The MWH team is amazing and I’m excited that I was able to join and walk with the team. You guys are like family and made me feel very welcome.
I’m sitting on the couch right now with Barry letting the feet recover a bit (well mostly mine). We were both pretty tired last night but had the energy for some burgers and beer (and showers). Will be running over to the shuttle to the airport in a bit for his flight back to Michigan and him getting ready for Cleveland.
I’ll post more of my thoughts about the weekend later as it’s just really sinking in what it’s all about. What an experience and I feel better about doing this wonderful event and really didn’t want to go home last night after closing.
Thank you MWH!

I was part of the Knights of Boobies cheering section. On Sunday we had my nephew with us, he is 6. He was all upset because we only had pink for him to cheer in. Once he saw Men with Heart he got all excited and grabbed his pink hat and pink sword and started cheering on. Everytime he saw a Men With Heart he would get all excited. Thank you for being an amazing power of example to this 6 year old boy.
See you next year!!! Thank you for doing what you do!!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!
To MWH,
Thank You MWH for giving me the opportunity, respect and courage to walk as a member of your time this year. I know most of the time I was walking with my own team (Pretty In Pink & Billy) along with supporting MWH by fulfilling my responsibilities to the team. You make everyone ALWAYS feel welcomed and right at home! I look forward to our next walk and the challenges that may come.
Yours truly,
Billy Norris
p.s. Scott, it was great seeing you at the Finish Line this year rather then where our last encounter took place!
Thank you for giving me this opportunity my friend.
The Boston 3-Day was my first ever event of this kind. The Men with Heart members were a surprising part of the journey. My sister Kim and I took advantage of your services on the first day by borrowing some powder to try to dry our soaking feet. We were comforted by that fact that you walked among us offering support through words & supplies. You even put up our tent for us!! Your presence was a pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated! Thank you!
To all Men With Heart walkers at the Boston 3 Day — I want to congratulate all of you for the great job you did at motivating all the walkers with kind words and jokes all three days. It is an inspiration and a great honor to be able to have walked with you, and i look forward to seeing all of you at the next event!! Keep up the good work, you guys rocked!!! Thank you for all you do, you are amazing!! xoxo
It was a pleasure singing with you all on day 3 this year. Thanks for all your hard work and positive energy. I hope to join you next year!

Hi! Men With Heart - Boston 3-Day,
You guys are “truly” amazing and full of energy. Always there to help someone out and carrying the heavy supplies. God Bless all of you!! You make us laugh and smile and entertained. Congrats to all the repeat walkers and new walkers. I had a blast!
I did the walk last year and this year. It was great seeing all of you and some new faces. Glad the group is growing!! In November, I will be walking in San Diego, CA. Planning to walk in 2009!
I will stop by again and visit. All the best & see you next year.
