Austin’s Cancer Walk Page
Last year I joined my parents, Rhonda and Larry, to work as part of the youth crew for Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Boston. I had a great time and was really impressed by the whole weekend.
Breast cancer has been a part of my family for a long time. My great-grandmother had it before I was born. My grandmother is a two time survivor and my mom had surgery in 2003 when we lived in Massachusetts.
This year, my family is again participating (it will be the 8th year for my parents) but I am trying something new. I am going to be walking the 39.3 miles over two days. My plan is to raise enough money to find a cure for breast cancer. We moved to Cincinnati, Ohio 6 years ago, but my family returns to Boston every year so they can be a part of this event because it is so important to us.
Now that I am 16, I am old enough to walk. Please consider helping this year. I need to raise $1800 to be a walker. Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated!! Even $10 will help me reach my goal.
Thank you!
