Rich’s Cancer Walk Page
A few years ago in May, I saw of group of men walking in bright yellow t-shirts. Looking closer, I was intrigued to see that it was some kind of men’s organization. Wanting to know what they were doing, I immediately went home and looked on the Internet. I was genuinely touched to find a group of men walking to support the fight against breast cancer.
I’ve been “meaning to do this†for a while. Like a lot of things in my life, I put it off. But this year is different: I am signed up and committed. So this year I have the honor of doing the 2-day, 40 mile Avon Walk with Men with Heart for the first time. And I am looking forward to personally making a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
If you’re reading this, it’s likely that you want to make a difference too. I am walking as a gesture of support and acknowledgement for those whose fight against cancer is more personal. But I am asking for more than a gesture from you.
