Jack’s Breast Cancer Walk Page
To my family, friends, and colleagues:
In 2011, I will participate in two multi-day breast cancer walks: my 10th consecutive Avon Walk for Breast Cancer — 40 miles over two days; and my 3rd consecutive Komen 3-Day for the Cure Walk – 60 miles over three days.
Why do I subject myself to the heat, the rain, the blisters, shin splints, and cramps year after year? Because every step gets us closer to a cure!
I walk for my wife, mother, and step-mother, who are cancer survivors. I walk for my two sisters and father, who lost their fights against cancer. I walk for my many friends and colleagues who have battled cancer in all its forms. And I walk for my daughter, so that she will never face the disease and instead will witness the cure.
My donors make it all possible. Any amount, from five dollars to five thousand (I have received both!) will help fight this insidious disease.
