Rey’s Breast Cancer Walk Page
To all my friends who have supported me in the past — and hopefully some new ones!
I will be participating again this year in the 2016 Komen 3-Day 60-mile walk in Philadelphia. This will be my 8th year walking. As many of you know, I do these walks as part of team called “Men With Heart.” I feel honored to be part of this group and the work they do to raise awareness about breast cancer. Not only have they raised an incredible amount of money for various charities, their involvement in cancer-related programs is equally impressive.
I walk primarily in memory of my mother and hopefully so my sisters won’t face the same diagnosis. I don’t think I know anyone who hasn’t been touched by this disease in some way.
The day I can say that I’m not walking this year will be one of the happiest in my life. The day we finally beat breast cancer.
